USA: Finance Manager, Vodka & Rums Global Brand Team

Act as integral business partner to global vodka and rum brand teams, focusing on key performance, strategic and financial opportunities for two of Diageo’s most important brands, Smirnoff and Captain Morgan, as well as Diageo’s other vodka and rum brands.
Play a broad role across traditional specialties of Finance, Strategy and Decision Support in working with the global brand team to help shape overall trademark agenda and ensure the appropriate issues are being addressed.
Own and control the management of the global brand team’s marketing and overhead spend, work with team through Business Performance Management (BPM) process to uncover risks and opportunities.
Engage with the Global Marketing and Sales Finance team as part of a global community committed to best-practice business partnership.
This role straddles the line between performance management, Decision Support and Strategy. Key responsibilities include:
Providing transparency around key performance issues for Diageo’s vodka and rum portfolios;
Working with the GBT to define opportunities to improve performance or mitigate risks through interventions with local markets;
Engaging on Strategy and Decision Support projects to uncover new opportunities. These may address a wide variety of issues (e.g., innovation, consumer/brand strategy, competitor strategy, growth models, etc.);
Supporting broader global initiatives (e.g., Business Development efforts) to achieve Diageo’s long-term corporate objectives and growth aspirations in vodka and rum;
Overseeing GBT budget and finances.
The role involves significant interaction with the Smirnoff and Rums brand teams, key local brand teams (e.g., U.S.), Global Marketing Finance community, and the broader GBS organization.
Vodka & Rum Finance team responsible for Brand A&P and Overhead budget of ~$30M.
